Fiore just told me that Denis Dallan (who was born in the same town as my sis’ – and who, when he’s not injured, plays for Stade Français – yep, that’s them, the ones on that calendar – and is also in the Italian squad) studies classical singing as well.
Unfortunately he’s a tenor.
Nobody’s perfect, as Osgood Fielding III would’ve said – though it could’ve been worse, he could’ve been a countertenor.
Wonder what will happen the day he sings Lindoro’s cavatina from Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri:
