– a food processor (I won’t ask for over-expensive Bimby, a simple Kenwood FP would do — preferably 600 watt minimum, thank you): I need one to mix ingredients for fake pizza, energy bars etc. I only own a minipimer. Seriously. I don’t know how I survived without a real food processor until now, honest;

this messenger bag;

– a Montegrappa or a Conway Stewart fountain pen;

– a year supply of A4 drawing paper notebooks;

– a size S new Scotland replica shirt (home version);

– a one way ticket to Edinburgh (not necessarily for birthday or Christmas, it would be a much appreciated present any time.)…

(to be continued…)

  1. carrieitly Said,

    I can no longer get by without a food processor either. It’s madness. She’s the girl for me- http://www.kitchenaid.com/flash.cmd?/#/product/KFP750OB/.

  2. G Said,

    carrieitly — I’ve coped without one until now, but most recipes off Brendan Brazier’s Thrive book can be done only by using a food processor. Mixing chickpea and oat flour with sesame seeds can be done in a bowk with a spoon, no problem, but, e.g., I can’t properly chop dates, nuts, blueberries and whatnot really finely with a knife to make energy bars (actually, I could, but it would take me ages, not 2 minutes as seen on youtube). I *need* a food processor!

  3. stef Said,

    As for point 1., my food processor (the one you plug into the socket) has been broken for months. Luckily I also have a former slicer/dicer/pot washer, trained in a French kitchen, who only needs plugging into a pint and some sleep every once in a while. Chops, slices, dices, fast and accurate.
    Whenever that one breaks, then I’ll be in serious trouble.

    As for point 6., I can only second if it includes a stopover in Sale. We miss you Big Sis’!
    :-D

  4. G Said,

    Stef — miss you too! And of course I’ll make a stopover in Sale, plus also remind that an Edin to Manchester (and other way round) train journey is way cheaper and takes less than going from Rome to Manchester ;)

  5. stef Said,

    We also need to do something about Il Tram Numero 8, since it stops by your house, it stops in Edinburgh, but not in Sale.
    :-(

  6. G Said,

    Stef — are you sure? Thought the tram route was Casaletto – San Giovanni di Dio – Ravizza – San Camillo – Ponte Bianco – Trastevere – Pascarella – Ippolito Nievo – Piccadilly Gardens – St.Peter’s square – G-Mex – Cornbrook – Trafford Bar – Old Trafford – Stretford – Dane Rd – Sale – Gyle – Edinburgh Park – South Gyle – Saughton – Balgreen – Murrayfield

  7. Stef Said,

    Now that’s a tram I would take every day!
    :-)
