So, it seems I’ll be attending the GGD in Rome, then.
I’m not quite sure to what extent I can consider myself a geek, though – basically know I can set up and maintain a simple website, plus I can upgrade wordpress, twice (haha.) within less than a week, without messing things up or asking for (too much) help around.
And that’s pretty much all, I suppose.
Unless geekiness doesn’t extend to digital photography and post production and such stuff, in which case I’m deffo utterly geek. Same applies if we’re talking about sustainable architecture, building technologies et al.
I’ve read reports from past GGDinners in Milan and elsewhere, and have read what they’re going to talk about during Rome’s dinner – Donne e Tecnologia (Women and Technologies) – still, I don’t know what to expect from this GGD, as most of the time when people refer to “technologies” they’re thinking of IT, as if any other type of techonlogy didn’t exist.
Oh, well, worst case scenario I’ll be meeting (hopefully nice) people and shooting a few photos, anyway.
