There will be a barcamp here in Rome on 21st and 22nd November 2008 – that’s RomeCamp 2008.

This round, talks and meetings will focus on three main themes: environment, technologies and community. You can find more about that reading discussions on RomeCamp’s Facebook page or scrolling the speeches’ list on the wiki page.

I’m quite bothered because of the rugby game on Saturday 22nd November – Italy vs. Pacific Islanders, kick off at 3 pm. The match will be broadcasted live on La7 like the other two games (Italy vs. Australia tomorrow afternoon and Italy vs. Argentina on 15th November), but I don’t think there will be a TV switched on La7 at the barcamp… damn!

Anyway, on the side of RomeCamp, students of economics at Roma Tre, one of Rome’s universities, are hosting a GreenCamp at the Economics Department. I’ll surely have a look there on Friday, too, as that sounds like something I could be quite interested in.

Finally, as a collateral event, Maxime & co. have also organised a party on a Routemaster bus, so if on the night of 22nd November you see a red double decker packed with noisy people driving around Rome, that’s most probably the lot of us.

  1. stef Said,

Instead, what are you doing 8-15th Dec 2008?
Eric’s in the USofA and could do with some help painting upstairs…

  2. Giorgia Said,

  3. stef Said,

    oh, bother!!!
    :-(

  4. Giorgia Said,

    Yeah, I know :(
But it’s for good, I must be brave! ;)
